Lilly pitches complete game, gives up only 1.
Cubs top Reds 7-1.

CHICAGO -- Cub fans may have not know much about Ted Lilly when he arrived in Chicago in 2007. Aside from his rookie season with the Montreal Expos, he had played his entire career in the American League. For the past two seasons Lilly has gone about his business the only way he knows how. CHICAGO -- The first series of the year between the Cubs and Cardinals did not disappoint as the lights were on at Wrigley Field for the first time in 2009. The Cubs won the series finale and for the third straight day there was a change in the N.L. Central Division standings. The Cubs were on the winning end of a 5-3 decision against the Cardinals for the fourth game of the series, salvaging a split. Leading the way were the bats of Aramis Ramirez and rookie Micah Hoffpauir. The Cardinals took the lead in the top of the second inning on a solo home run by Ryan Ludwick to straightaway center field. The Cubs would capitalize on an opportunity during the bottom of the inning.
