Nazareth, PA- George Myers won the Lehigh Valley 150 at Nazareth Speedway, NASCAR's fourth Featherlite Modified event of the 2007 season. Brooklyn's Coy Vance finished 17st after qualifying 13th in time trials. Vance qualified with a best lap time of 26.751, his best qualifying time and start position at the track in the four years he's been pro, good enough for 13th position when the starter's flag dropped. He drove in just his fourth race in the #30 Western Auto Flite car.

Vance got more comfortable with each practice lap in the morning, testing the speed and handling of his car. His first qualifying laps was dissapointing but he turned it on for the second, earning a start in the middle of the pack.

Starting in 13th Vance had trouble holding off would-be pasers and jostled with a few on several occasions. After falling back as far as 22nd and last, Vance drove with reckless anandion the last two laps having nothing to lose. He passed several cars on the inside, trading paint on turns while moving up to 17th position. The win moves Myers into first place in the Modified points standings.

Meanwhile at the front of the pack George Myers led from thw whole way. It was his first victory of the 2007 season after finishing the previous two Featherlite races in second. Myers lost to Brady Barnes in the Badger State 150 on February 14th and to JJ Roberts in the Door County 150 on February 28th.

Vance remains the most hated driver on the Featherlite circuit with more than half a dozen drivers calling the Brooklyn boy out and nary one fellow supporter amongst the drivers in the paddock area. Danny Ross seemed particularly upset and he and Vance had words outside the Western Auto garage

A spokesman for Vance said the two camps were in contact afterwards and he doesn't expect either drive to hold hard feelings for very long.

Coy is in his first season with the #30 Western Auto Featherlite team as well as in his first full Craftsman Truck season, racing with the #12 A Foot Ahead team.

Next Up: The next Featherlite race is April 11th in the Market Street 150 at Levi Strauss Signature Speedway. Vance has never done well at the track, never qualifying or finishing higher than 21st in the Market Street or the other FLite event held there, the Steel Mill 100 later in the season.

Coy's next  NASCAR Craftsman ride is on April 14th in the Kroger 250 at Martinsville Speedway. Qualifying takes place on the 12th. His experience at Martinsville has only been in the Flite Modified series' Appalacian 150 with a best finish of 11th in 2006.

Light-Heavyweight Boxing comes to Brooklyn's Appollo Gym as Kevin "Sugarman" McNella takes on Tony "Rattlesnake" Best in a rematch of their December bout. BSN has exclusive coverage of tonight's main event starting at 8pm.

Hampton, GA- Brandon Whitt won the EasyCare 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway,  NASCAR's second Craftsman Series Truck event of the 2007 season, while Brooklyn's Coy Vance, starting 27th,  finished 33rd and a lap down in his first race at the quad-oval. Vance, driving the #12 A Foot Ahead truck for the just second time, finished a lap down along with 10 other drivers thanks to some fine driving and efficent fuel consumption by the teams at the front of the pack.

Brooklyn-born Vance is still feeling his way around the inside of Craftman series trucks as well as a slew of tracks where he has no experience. "Besides getting a feel for the car, the tracks, the turns, I'm still learning pitting skills out there" said Vance. "Knowing when to pit is an essential skill I've got to perfect" he said from his garage area afterwards.

Milwaukee, WI- Brady Barnes won the Badger State 150 at The Milwaukee Mile, NASCAR's second Featherlite Modified event of the 2007 season. Brooklyn's Coy Vance finished 21st after qualifying a dissapointing 22nd in time trials. Vance qualified with a best lap time of just 27.066 driving his second race in the #30 Western Auto Flite car.

Vance started behind and stayed behind, never challenging the pack ahead of him. Vance didn't have enough car, or driving experience, to make up much time in either the straightaways or the turns. In fact, Vance only managed to avoid last place thanks to Marvin Humpries misfortune.

Daytona, FL- Bennie Allen took NASCAR's first Craftsman Series Truck event of the 2007 season, The Florida Dodge Dealers 250 at Daytona International Speedway, while Brooklyn's Coy Vance, starting 36th with a provisional entry, managed to finish 22nd in his first race at the historic track. Vance, driving the #12 A Foot Ahead truck for the first time, was forced to use a provisional entry after electing to run The Railway 150 in the #30 Western Auto Flite car on the Whelen Modified Featherlite circuit on Wednesday, forcing him to miss the Craftsman qualifying trials at Daytona.

Despite starting at the back of the pack Vance managed to improve several positions thanks to timely pit stops and beneficial caution flags. The Brooklyn-born driver glowed as he talked about the track afterwards. "Words can't due it justice until you've been out there and I was lucky enough to lay some rubber down on this catherdal of racing today. The experience is exhilirating and the ride, the handling, every turn, every bank is special." Vance said from his team's garage area.
