Glendale, ARI- After losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Superbowl, the Arizona Cardinals looked to improve their team from last year, to hopefully return to the post-season. Their main concern of the off-season was Kurt Warner who was comptemplating retirement after losing in the superbowl.

With Warner thinking about retirement, the Cardinals staff had much concern on who would lead the Cardinals offensive attack. Back-up quarterback, Matt Leinhar t was in the mix of starting for the Cardinals or possibly signing someone in the NFL Draft. Good news for the Cardinals though, Warner decided to return another season and hopefully bring the Cardinals to another superbowl.

"I want to try and win another superbowl." Said Warner during an interview concerning him staying another year in the NFL. "We were close last year and I have a feeling we can do it this year, especially with Larry [Fitzgerald] and Anquan [Boldin] still on the team."

Another main reason Warner stayed was because of the Cardinals re-signing Anquan Boldin. With Larry Fitzgerald and Boldin on opposite sides of the field, Warner still has the aerial attacks he likes. The Cardinals also acquired tightend, Kevin Boss from the New York Giants.

With the Cardinals releasing all-pro and aging runningback, Edgerrin James , the Cardinals were looking for a running back in the NFL Draft. Even though the Cardinals had Tim Hightower , they wanted someone with a bit more speed and power, and with the 31st overall pick in the NFL Draft the Cardinals chose runningback from Ohio State, Chris "Beanie" Wells.

Not much changes were made on defense except acquiring two corners to help Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie . The Cardinals first signed Bryant McFadden, who was on the Superbowl winning team last year, the Pittsburgh Steelers and also got Chris McAlister off from free-agency.

With the offense and defense in place, the Cardinals will host division rivals, San Francisco 49ers at their first game at University of Phoenix Stadium. Both teams will show off how much they improved from last season in the first game of the season.
