Uniondale, NY- Quarterback Rohan Davey relieved starter Aaron Garcia midway through the first quarter and led the New York Dragons to their first victory of the 2007 season, a 42-39 win over the Nasville Kats at home in the Nassau Coliseum. Davey threw four touchdown passes and the New York defense held the Kats to under 40 points to earn a close victory.
Mike Horacek caught nine passes for 56 yards and a touchdown while Kevin Swayne had eight receptions for 113 yards and TD. Will Holder had two touchdowns of his six receptions and 95 yards.
Nick Rogers led the Dragon defense with nine tacles, one sack and one forced fumble. Defensive back Chris Angel had an interecption for New York.
Nasville's Clint Stoerner threw four touchdown passes, thrre to t.T. Toliver and one to Alonzo Nix. The Kats defense featured Dan Alexander's 12 tackles, Charlie Morris sack and Joe Minucci's forced fumble.
New York improves to 1-2 with their first win while Nashville suffers their first loss and falls to 2-1.
Next Up: The Dragons have a bye next week and return to play February 24th in Columbus against the Destroyers.
