A Dynasty To Remember- The Minnesota Vikings

What a run it's been for the Minnesota Vikings. Since the 2009 season they have made the playoffs every season, been to the Super Bowl 4 times, got a beautiful new stadium, and hired one of the best coaching staff's, money could by. NEWS AND NOTES

For the 5th time in 6 seasons, the Minnesota Vikings are Super Bowl bound.

The Vikings destroyed the New York Giants 44 to 3 in front of a cold, sold out home crowd at The Viking Ship today in Minneapolis.

Viking quarterback Anthony Little went 20 for 28, threw for 196 passing yards, 4 touchdowns, with 2 interceptions. Adrian Peterson had a big game, carrying the ball 40 times, for 201 yards, but only had 1 touchdown.

Receiver Percy Harvin had 9 receptions for 77 yards with 4 touchdown catches.

New York's Eli Manning had a bad game as the Vikings once again owed him, as he went 11 for 23, with just 99 yards passing, and being picked off 3 times.

The Vikings move onto the Super Bowl in 2 weeks where for the 2nd straight year, they will face the Tennessee Titans. Last year it was Peyton Manning who led the Titans to the big dance. This year the honor belongs to Carson Palmer.

Minnesota is an early 3 point favorite.

The Minnesota Vikings advance to the NFC Championship game after defeating Dallas 27 to 24 in overtime today.

Vikings Quarterback Anthony Little threw just 16 for 27 for 217 yards, 1 touchdown, and 2 interceptions. Former Minnesota Viking QB Philip Rivers went 18 for 31, 252 yards, 1 TD and 1 pick.

Adrian Peterson was held to 20 attempts for 98 yards, but had 2 touchdowns.

The Vikings face the New York Giants next week for the right to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.

The Minnesota Vikings will be staying home for the playoffs, as they have  clinched homefield advantage throughout the playoffs.

The New York football Giants have clinched a 1st round bye (2nd seed). The Tennessee Titans, last years AFC Champions, have clinched the AFC homefield advantage.

Sorry for the lack of updates on this dynasty. With my time concentrated on work, getting my home and personal life ready for the impending birth of my 2nd child, and working on my Minnesota Twins dynasty, this one has taken a back seat.

With that said, I think it's the end of the road for this run. In the last couple weeks I have upgraded to a PS3, and this weekend, I will be getting Madden 10. With new possibilities, I've decided I'm going to start over and do my 1st NFL Franchise on the PS3 system.

My team will still be the Vikings. Keep checking back for any updates. I hope to see you all back here when the new dynasty starts. ; 0 )

For the last 6 seasons, the Minnesota Vikings have reigned supreme on top of the NFC North.

The Vikings clinched the 6 straight division title win after blowing out the Cincinatti Bengals 33 to 7 on Monday night football.

Minnesota is in the drivers seat to clinch homefield advantage, but will have to compete with the Giants for that goal.

(Eden Prairie, MN)- Vikings runningback Adrian Peterson will miss the next 10 weeks due to injury.

Peterson was injured in the Vikings 28 to 10 week 2 victory over the Washington Redskins.

"It's frustrating. I've been healthy the last couple season, and for this to happen now sucks. I hope I can bounce back from this and get back to speed so I can help my team on our Super Bowl run."

Backup Laurence Maroney will take over for the injured Peterson. His 1st test will be against the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday.
